Jesse McCartney wants everyone to know … if you publish a nude photo of him – even one that looks like him – he’ll sue you.
It seems a photo is floating around … showing what looks like a naked McCartney all by his lonesome.
McCartney’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, has fired off a cease and desist letter to any web site that would dare publish the photo.
Holley warns, “a person is attempting to circulate a nude photo which purports to be Mr. McCartney.” She goes on, “McCartney was unaware of the taking of this alleged photo, did not knowingly participate in the taking of this photo, and certainly did not consent to the taking of such photo.”
Holley says in the letter, “it appears that this photo has been manipulated and doctored by computer software.”
Holley says the publication of the photo “would be a grave invasion of Mr. McCartney’s privacy rights” and she’ll go after anyone who publishes it for “substantial monetary damages.”
Here is the CNN interview with Jesse, enjoy:
Los Angeles, California (CNN) — Jesse McCartney was only 11 when he scored the role of Adam Chandler Jr. on “All My Children.” Since then, his life has been anything but a soap opera — just a steady stream of acting gigs and a growing career as a singer-songwriter.
At 22, he’s eager to make that leap from child star (and teen favorite) to all-around entertainer. McCartney is currently on the big screen — or at least his voice is — as Theodore, the youngest animated sibling in “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.” He’s also moving his music in a more R&B direction.
We dropped in on the New York native during a recording session at Fox Studios in Los Angeles. The following is an edited version of the interview.
Jesse McCartney is another celebrity who grew up watching the Chipmunks in his house, but he’s not the only member of the family that was a fan.
McCartney says his parents were avid viewers of the cartoon show – and none of them could ever have predicted he’d be supplying the voice of Theodore for the animated Alvin and the Chipmunks feature and sequel.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel opened December 23rd, 2009 and raked in $50.2 million its first weekend. It is still going strong with holiday moviegoers and took in a big, fat Friday payday of $13 mil.

Singer, Songwriter and actor Jesse McCartney visited Good Day New York to talk about his new movie “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel” and his role as Theodore.
McCartney’s platinum-selling status began in 2004 with his first album, Beautiful Soul which sold over 1.5 million copies. The first single, of the same name, attracted millions of listeners and topped the charts in the U.S and Internationally.
As a young artist, McCartney knows the value of giving back to the community performing at various benefit concerts, becoming an official supporter of Little Kids Rock, a nonprofit that provides free musical instruments and lessons to children in need, as well as donating proceeds of his 2005 tour for the Asian Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina disaster relief, and becoming a spokesperson for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

WHO: Platinum-selling singer, songwriter and actor Jesse McCartney sold more than 1.5 million copies of his first album, “Beautiful Soul,” and most recently re-released his third album, “Departure: Recharged.” When he’s not recording and writing songs for Toni Braxton and Leighton Meester, McCartney can be seen or heard (previously and now) on the big and small screens in “All My Children” (‘98-’99), “Law and Order: SVU” (2008) and as the voice of Theodore in “Alvin & the Chipmunks” and its upcoming “Squeakquel.”
WHAT: City of Hope, one of the nation’s leading research and treatment for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. Designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center, City of Hope’s research and treatment protocols advance care throughout the nation.
WHY: “Bob Cavallo (chairman of the Disney Music Group and) the head of Hollywood Records, which has been my record label for the last six years, introduced me to City of Hope. Once I had the chance to really study the center and all of the things that they do, especially with their pediatric programs, I became a little obsessed.” Besides frequenting the Duarte, Calif.-based center, McCartney recently took to the Nokia Theater stage with Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato for the second annual Concert for Hope, raising funds for the center’s cancer research efforts.
WHAT’S NEXT: McCartney plans to continue fund-raising for City of Hope, which is in the final construction stages of a new facility, the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Center for Cancer Immunotherapeutics and Tumor Immunology, opening in early 2010.

Actor and musician Jesse McCartney is well-known among the pre-teen crowds, but in the greater geekdom of videogames he’s known as the voice Roxas in the Kingdom Hearts series, making appearances in Kingdom Hearts 2 and
most recently in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.
Now, according to Jesse McCartney’s Twitter, the actor will be returning to the franchise, confirming that he is working on “yet another Kingdom Hearts game.” While he’s a bit wrong on a his statement (the first game with Roxas was the second Kingdom Hearts game, not the first), this than likely is the upcoming PSP-exclusive Birth By Sleep, which as of yet is unconfirmed for a North American release. Still, it wouldn’t be a shock to see the title next year.
As for whom McCartney will be voicing, the likeliest choice is new character Ventus. Why? Because he looks exactly like Roxas, of course.
Jesse will be performing with Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato at Nokia Theater in L.A. on October 25th. You can find tickets here.
