Jesse McCartney likes girls. He also admits that, on occasion, he likes to drink and party…and surf the web.

So when I paid him a visit Tuesday afternoon on the Long Beach set of his new music video for “Shake” (E! Online’s first-ever livestream from a video set), I just had to ask him if he had ever done any late-night “creeping” on girls on Facebook or Twitter. The 23-year-old superstud (who I found to be a really cool guy, by the way) denies any Facebook “lurking,” but as for Twitter…well, he did confess that @JesseMcCartney may be guilty of Tweeting Under the Influence (TUI) after a long night in the clubs.

Before I met him, I knew Jesse was a real star. But it takes a real man to confess to the ole’ drunk dial. So, Jesse, here’s a big bro’ fist at ya for carrying the torch for guys everywhere guilty of TUI. – Ken Baker of EOnline

JustJaredJr: Track by Track with JMac – “Shake”

Posted by on October 25th, 2010 under Articles, Interview

This  week, JustJaredJr. is going Track by Track with Jesse McCartney to find out about all of the songs on “Have It All”, Jesse’s 4th album. Read the article below to find out about the first single from ”Have It All”, Shake

Jesse McCartney’s opening line during our interview a couple weeks ago? “When’s your birthday?”

After finding out the specific date, the 23-year-old musician proceeded to dig through his huge “The Secret Language of Birthdays: Personology Profiles for Each Day of the Year” book and tell us what was going to happen and did happen during our lives. JJJ will admit that was a great icebreaker!

Then we got down to business and asked him to break each track down for us, one-by-one and he did. First song up: first single, “Shake.”

Jesse shared about this track, “‘Shake’ is the first single, and most reminiscent of my last album, Departure. It’s a record I did with two writers who work under Dr. Luke’s camp and we wrote it in a matter of hours. ‘Shake’ can mean whatever you want it to mean. It’s a pretty loose term (laughs).”

Want more? Stay tuned to JJJ for more throughout the month!

Jesse’s interview with Tommy2.Net

Posted by on October 22nd, 2010 under Interview

Tommy2: Hey it’s Tommy2 and today we’re hanging out with Jesse McCartney in Minneapolis, MN! Jesse how’s it going?

Jesse McCartney: Good man, how are you?

Tommy2: Good! Lets first off talk about your new single, Shake. Its got your signature Pop – R&B feel with it, with the lyrics that are definitely you. How long ago did you start that and where are you at now?

Jesse McCartney: Well, you know we started the… I started this album about a year ago and Shake sort of came toward the later part of making the record, making this record. It was one of those songs that I really thought could bridge the gap between the last album and this record – you know, sonically I think it sounded a lot, very reminiscent of my last album and when you’re not on the radio for a few years you sort of want to you know get the fans reacquainted with your music and Shake was I think the perfect single. Ya know it’s got the fun rhythmic urban kind of track with some pop melodies on top and it’s a fun song.

Tommy2: It feels like more of an evolution from the last release, where as the last release was a big step from your older sound right?

Jesse McCartney: Yeah, yeah, exactly. It’s not as, it’s not as drastic because I’ve already laid the groundwork down I think you know with the first, with the last album, with Departure. So this album is very much a continuation of this record… of that record and maybe even a little bit more urban once you get into the heart of the album.

Tommy2: How long have you been on the road working the single on radio?

Jesse McCartney: Only about a week you know, it feels like two months because you’re in a new city almost every day so you kind of lose track of where you are. But it’s a lot of fun, you know I get a chance to interact with all the fans in each city, you know in each big city. This is the fun part you get to share all of the music that you’ve been recording for the last year.

Tommy2: And today you do an acoustic performance. Is that what you’re doing at all the radio stuff?

Jesse McCartney: Yeah, we’re doing a little sort of broken down acoustic type of vibe. We’ve programmed a lot of stuff into an MPC, into the keyboards that Dory who’s my guitar play. He and I are playing together on stage and yeah, we do a couple of the old songs for the fans and then give them a taste of the new stuff. – Tommy2
