The release date for Jesse’s latest movie, Beware the Gonzo, has been announced by the official BTG twitter. (speaking of twitter, follow @ohjessefansite on twitter for the latest updates). So, it will be released between April 20th and May 1st!!

This is my very first website that I own. I have worked as a co-web at a few sites and have blogs of my own, but Oh-Jesse is my first site as the owner!! The 23-year-old musician shared with us about the upcoming tune, “It’s a song that I wrote and recorded with Kevin Rudolf and Jay Cash. We wanted to do something on the record that was sort of mid-tempo and we were actually listening to some Bono records and really wanted to have an anthemic vibe to it. “One Night” is really an anthemic ballad and reminds me of Bono’s melodies. This record quickly became one of my favorite songs on the album.”

On October 19th, while Jesse McCartney was in New York, NY, On The Teen Beat (OTTB) interviewed him backstage on Live! With Regis & Kelly. Read the interview below.

OTTB: I have to ask basic question about the new cd that is coming out early next year—did you work with the same producers and songwriters!
Jesse: I worked with these new guys called J. Cash and Ammo but I also worked with Sean Garrett, who I worked with on the last album. I worked with Dr. Luke’s camp–he won songwriter of the year last year from ASCAP last year and I worked with Kevin Rudolf who produced a couple of songs and you probably know him from his hit featuring Lil Wayne . It was a lot of fun and I found some time to relax in LA while I was recording as well. I also flew out for guitarist Dorey’s wedding in Israel and spent ten days there, which was great. I also did this independent film called Beware The Gonzo which was really well received at the Tribeca Film Festival last year. Got to go to Italy to promote that movie for a week so I have done quite a bit of traveling lately.

OTTB: Those are excellent places to visit. Now, you wrote almost all of the material
for your new album, right?
Jesse: Yeah, just about.
